Terms and Conditions

PRICES

All prices shown in this brochure are on a per person basis.

Events beyond our control, such as currency fluctuations, changes to price of aviation fuel or changes to cost of services or facilities may result in the prices charged to you being different from those shown in this brochure. Prices may therefore change between the time of booking and departure. We reserve the right to vary the price up until the time of your departure.

 

PAYMENT

Deposit payments are as outlined in the tour brochure. Prices quoted in this brochure are discounted for payment by cash, cheque, credit card or direct credit only. For payment by credit card, a surcharge will apply. Final payment is due two months prior to tour departure. Some tours may require final payment earlier. You will be advised of this requirement.

 

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Final documentation will be sent to you approximately two weeks prior to departure. This will contain tour itinerary, airline tickets, hotel lists, tour members lists and general information.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Unless otherwise specified in the brochure or subsequently advised to you, cancellation fees apply as follows:

Cancellation advised over 60 days before departure - loss of deposit.
Cancellation advised between 31 and 60 days before departure - 50% of tour price.
Cancellation advised 30 days or less before departure - 100% of tour price.
We reserve the right to cancel any tour and make a full refund of deposit.

 

INSURANCE

You agree that we have no liability for any loss or damage of any kind you may suffer resulting from cancellation, loss of luggage and personal property, medical expenses and any effects of accident. We recommend that you insure yourself fully against these events and we can assist you with this but we take no responsibility for this.

 

PASSPORT, HEALTH AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

For all overseas tours you will require a valid passport. On some tours you will require a visa and health inoculations to enter various countries. For any tours within New Zealand which include flights, photo identification is required. Details of these requirements will be supplied to you prior to your departure.

 

SHARE TWIN ROOMS

If you are travelling alone and prefer to share a room with someone else you must indicate this on the booking form. We will endeavour to arrange some one for you to share with.

 

CHANGES TO ITINERARY

We will be pleased to incorporate any reasonable changes to this itinerary that you require. Any itinerary change will attract a fee of $50 per person as actual cost to cover our administration and communication costs involved.

 

ITEMS NOT COVERED

Unless otherwise specified the cost of meals, drinks, laundry, insurance, airport and government departure taxes, passport and /or visa fees are not included.

 

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU

As your tour operator we are responsible to you for organising your holiday and tour arrangements. We buy in vacation arrangements from various suppliers. They are responsible to us to supply services we require for the tour. The flights, coach journey, cruises and all travel and hotel accommodation are not actually provided by us but by reputable carriers, cruise operators and hoteliers. We take all possible care to ensure that suppliers of services to our tours maintain a high standard. We do not own or control the cruise operators, carriers or hoteliers and we are not a carrier, cruise operator or hotel owner. As a result we cannot be in any way responsible for day to day problems that may arise as a result of any action or inaction by those suppliers.

You should note that your tour or holiday is subject to terms and conditions some of which are often imposed by International Convention between countries.

We are unable to accept responsibility for any aspect of your holiday arrangements affected by matters over which we have no control. Without limiting that provision this will include war or threat of war, riots and civil strife, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, industrial disputes or governmental action or reasonable apprehension of the foregoing causing cancellation or curtailment.

We and our various suppliers reserve the right to refuse to carry or accommodate any person whom we consider unsuitable by reason of age or physical or mental condition, or who, after the tour commences, behaves in an unacceptable manner.

Under no circumstances will we be responsible for travellers baggage and personal possessions.

 

INFORMATION IN THIS BROCHURE

Facilities or services may change after date of printing. We endeavour to keep all tour members informed of any changes to the information in this brochure.

All photographs contained in the brochure are for indicative purposes only and may not necessarily reflect actual basis or positioning.

We reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any of the arrangements contained in this tour.

 

LEGAL CLAIMS

Any claims or legal action in connection with the provisions of our services to you will be governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any claim or legal action against suppliers is likely to be subject to terms of your contract with them and may be governed by the laws of other countries.

 

PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

At any time, Scottsdale Tours may run promotions, discounts, competitions, prize draws, or any combination of these. The promotional activity will be described in full detail in the communications intended for the advertising purpose, such as emails, magazines, brochures and website.

Promotional Period:

• Each promotion will be terminated at the advertised date relevant to that promotion. No further participation will be possible

• Scottsdale Tours reserve the right to terminate promotions where specified at any time without notice applicable to the terms of the advertised promotion.

• Where no promotion period is specified the relevant promotion will be terminated at the point it has been removed from the online platform.

Unless otherwise indicated in the promotion communication, it is intended for the addressed recipient or category of recipient only and cannot be transferred. If you are not the intended recipient or within the intended category of recipient the offer is null and void.

Unless otherwise indicated in the applicable specific promotional terms, each promotion or discount offer may be used once per person for one tour only.

Scottsdale Tours at their sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify consumers who may attempt to alter the entry process or the operation of the entry process for any promotion, or whose conduct is in breach of the rules specified.
